Circuit Breaker Sales & Repair hit the ground running in 2020 by hosting our annual sales meeting January 8–9, sparking the fire for what promises to be a record-setting year for Group CBS. This year’s motto — “All In” — couldn’t have summed it up better.
Although the meeting is held annually in different locations within the expansive CBS&R territory, every other year GCBS affiliates are invited to meet with the CBS&R sales team to refresh, retrain, and share new insights on product offerings. The 2020 meeting took place at the San Luis Resort on Galveston Island, where the Texas- and Louisiana-based sales teams played host to Vacuum Interrupters Inc. (VI), CBS ArcSafe, Advanced Electrical & Motor Controls (AEAMC), and Western Electrical Services (WES).
The two-day event kicked off with an evening social geared toward team-building. “It is important for our team to build relationships with not only our customers but the Group as a whole,” said CBS&R president Lee Heine. “We work day in and day out to ensure our people and our customers understand that we are all here to achieve a common goal.”
Each affiliate played a crucial role in educating the CBS&R sales team on the Group’s vast capabilities. Craig Archer ignited the meeting by hammering home WES’s extensive machining and manufacturing capabilities. CBS ArcSafe’s Justin Gaull, with great contributions and demonstrations from Mark Standridge and Travis Herr, quizzed the team about new products and arc-flash mitigation.
The afternoon session began with Adam Dangelmayr, who provided in-depth insight on vacuum interrupters and MAC testing. David Muir, representing AEAMC, offered valuable insight on motor control centers, panelboards, and insulated and molded case breakers.
Overall, the meeting made an immediate impact on attendees. With a total-team “All In” effort, it is safe to say that 2020 has the markings of a prosperous start to the new decade.
